Okay, I backed this because the masked guy in the trailer freaked me out. I had to know what the comic was about. And honestly? Issue #1 is even better than the trailer. It's not a jumpy kind of scary. It's a slow, sit-with-it kind of scary. I had to put it down twice while reading. Already waiting for Issue #2.

I back a lot of indie comics and most of them look great on the cover and then the inside art is just okay. This one is not like that. Every page looks like someone really cared. The way they use shadows on Elara's face, you can tell they thought about it. Worth the money just for the art.

elara is what makes this work. shes not a hero shes not a victim shes just. losing it. and the book lets her lose it. doesnt rush her doesnt explain her. i closed it and just sat there for a minute which is not something i usually do with a #1. most indie horror is so worried about being scary it forgets to be sad. this one gets it

backed prob 14 books this year and like 3 actually delivered. this is one of them. paper feels good, no bleed through, colors look how theyre supposed to look. story actually moves which is the main thing, so many #1s are just 22 pages of setup and a last page reveal. this one gives you something. in for the rest
